New guests & how we’re different

Do new customers get a free night?

Yes. New customers receive their first night free when they book a 3-night stay (three nights required). The credit is typically applied in person at check-out. Refer-a-friend stays can also qualify. Call (949) 582-1732 if you want us to confirm your dates and promo before you reserve.

Is there a refer-a-friend reward?

Yes. Refer a friend and you can earn $35 (details when you book or call). Your friend may also be eligible for the free first-night offer as a new guest when they book three nights.

Do you only have one location?

Yes. Cats Luv Us is a single cat-only boarding hotel in Laguna Niguel. Every stay is with the same team, the same suites, and the same standards. No multi-location juggling.

Do you board and groom?

Yes. We are built for cats only: overnight boarding, daycare-style play when appropriate, and professional cat grooming in one place. Many families book a stay and add a groom for pickup day.

Health & requirements

What vaccinations are required for boarding?

Each cat must have a current FVRCP vaccination (feline rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia), given within the last three years. Proof is required before admittance. Please email records to Ca*******@***il.com before arrival so check-in stays smooth.

Rabies is not required for boarding at Cats Luv Us. FVRCP is the vaccination we require.

When should vaccines be given before a stay?

Plan ahead. Many veterinary boarding guidelines recommend at least 72 hours, and ideally closer to a week, between vaccination and check-in so your cat has time to respond fully. That helps protect your cat and every other guest in the hotel.

Must my cat be flea-free?

Yes. Cats should arrive flea-free and in good general health. We can discuss Advantage flea treatment by request if you need help at check-in. If you are unsure about prevention timing, call us before travel day.

Do you board cats who are sick?

No. We never board cats that show signs of a cold, infection, or transmittable disease at check-in. We also never board cats we know have a condition or disease that is transmittable, whether or not they are currently showing symptoms. That includes, but is not limited to, FIV and FeLV.

The health of cats already in the hotel is our priority. We pre-screen with questions about medical history, require core FVRCP vaccination, and check for signs of illness at check-in. If your cat is sneezing, congested, or not themselves, call us before you leave home.

No vaccine is 100% effective, and stress in a new environment can lower a cat’s immune response. No boarding facility is fully shielded from upper respiratory infections. We take careful protocols to reduce risk, and we stay honest about what no hotel can guarantee.

Can you administer medications?

Yes. Our team is trained to give common boarding medications, including pills, liquids, insulin, and eye drops, when you provide clear labeled instructions. Bring enough medication for the full stay, plus a little extra.

Do multi-cat families stay together?

Yes. Bonded cats can often share space, and we offer adjoining rooms (up to three) with connecting doors when families need more room. Let us know at booking so we can assign a suitable suite.

What to bring & what we provide

What should I bring for my cat’s stay?

  • Your cat’s regular food (enough for the full stay; we follow your feeding routine)
  • Medications, labeled, with written instructions
  • Optional: a familiar blanket or soft item that smells like home
  • Vaccine records (email ahead when you can)

What do you provide?

We provide litter, litter service, bowls, beds, and clean linens. Leave bulk litter boxes and home bowls at home unless we ask you for something specific.

What is needed before I arrive?

  1. Online or phone reservation
  2. FVRCP proof emailed to Ca*******@***il.com when possible
  3. Food packed for the stay
  4. Meds and instructions
  5. Best mobile number for weekly SMS photos
  6. Your veterinarian and emergency contact details

Hours, check-in & tours

What are your hours?

Typical front-desk hours:

  • Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Sunday: on call

Boarded cats are cared for around the clock even when the front desk is closed. Holiday and peak windows can change. See our Holiday Schedule / Peak Times and confirm times on your reservation.

Can I drop off or pick up anytime?

Check-in and check-out are scheduled around open hours and your reservation. Plan drop-off and pick-up when you book. For same-day or special timing, call (949) 582-1732 so we can prepare the suite.

Can I tour before I book?

Yes. We invite you to a personal tour of the hotel. Book a free tour or call to set a time.

What if I’m visiting Orange County or relocating?

You’re welcome. Families board with us while visiting South Orange County. We’re on Forbes Road at Crown Valley in Laguna Niguel, convenient to Mission Viejo, Aliso Viejo, Irvine, Dana Point, San Clemente, and nearby cities.

Booking, payment & policies

How do I book boarding or grooming?

Mention the free-night offer for new boarding guests when you reserve a three-night stay.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We are a card-only facility. We cannot accept cash or checks for services. You can reserve online and complete payment by card according to the instructions at booking or check-in.

What is your cancellation policy?

Non-holiday periods: Guests who cancel a confirmed reservation at least four (4) days prior to their arrival date will receive a full refund on their deposit.

Holiday periods (Thanksgiving week, Christmas week, and New Year’s week): Confirmed reservations must be cancelled at least ten (10) days prior to arrival to receive a refund on the deposit collected (typically 50% of the stay). The remainder of the balance due is charged at check-in.

Please contact us directly to reschedule or cancel. Peak dates fill early. See our Holiday Schedule / Peak Times for the current year’s blackout windows.

Do you have a satisfaction guarantee?

Yes. Our goal is an excellent stay every time. We stand behind a satisfaction guarantee for the care experience. If something feels off, call us right away so we can make it right.

Grooming

Can I add grooming to a boarding reservation?

Yes. Many guests schedule grooming for the day of pickup so their cat goes home clean and comfortable. Add it when you book, or call during the stay if we have an open slot.

What grooming services do you offer?

Professional cat grooming at the same Laguna Niguel hotel, including baths, de-shedding, lion cuts, nail trims, and related spa-style care. See our cat grooming page or book a grooming appointment online.

Is grooming available without boarding?

Yes. You can book a stand-alone grooming appointment even if your cat is not staying overnight.

During the stay

Do you send photos while my cat is boarding?

Yes. We send personal Weekly SMS Photos to your phone so you can see how your cat is doing. Share the best mobile number at booking or check-in, and ask about frequency on longer trips. More details on our Weekly SMS Photos page.

What enrichment do cats get?

Depending on personality and comfort, cats may enjoy playroom time, toys, and bird aviary entertainment, plus clean private suite living. We match energy and temperament rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all day.

What if my cat gets sick while boarding?

We contact you using the emergency information from check-in and coordinate with your veterinarian. On-call veterinary support is part of how we handle medical concerns during a stay.

Do you offer daycare or long-term boarding?

Yes. We support short stays, longer trips, and longer-term boarding needs. Call us about daycare-style options and extended care so we can match the right suite and routine.

Ready to book your cat’s stay?
